Steve Irwin Tribute

Posted on Sep 28th, 2006 by Michele : Courage & Love Michele
Steve
Steve Erwin is missed. We watched the Barbara Walters show last night, she
talked with his wife and we saw his life through her eyes. She was madly in love with him.

Why did so many love him, and after seeing the show, he really does have the
entire Austrailian country and millions in other countries loving him. Why?
I can tell you why I think he was a great spirit, brother on this earth with
us for a while.

  • He lived life 100% with Passion!
  • He loved nature, the creation and respected it
  • He loved his family, they were a part of everything he did
  • He Surfed, was a diver, generally loved the Sea and all the creation
  • He made his business his life ... and his life about making a positive change in the world
  • He had courage.
  • He had courage.
  • Did I say ... he had courage. We need more of that everywhere.

My last point is why his wife called him her "Prince", how many husbands have
wives these days who will call them that. We live in a wimpy fear-based society
these days, everyone is so afraid of everything... ugh that's another rant.
Let's just be happy there is s family out there spreading the positive, fun,
courageous vibe ... embrace life, love what God has given us, have Joy!!! He
did that, his wife and father and daughter and son will continue. So should we.

Good on ya Mate!

Surfing a 70 foot Wave!

Posted on Sep 29th, 2006 by Michele : Courage & Love Michele
Wave
Okay, can you believe this? As of today this is the worlds largest wave ever ridden. It was officially shattered at the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards  when Pete Cabrinha of Hawaii picked up a check for $70,000 to match his amazing ride on a 70-footer. Cabrinha, 43, rode the wave on January 10 of this year at the break known as Jaws on the North Shore of Maui, near his home in Haiku.

I will never ride a wave like this, I'm almost 100% sure. What is it that I relate to, that I love about this feat. As far as I am from ever doing this ... in some strange way I relate to it. I love the sea, I can surf a small wave, take boat on the ocean .. okay right, I'm still no where close to doing this.

When I see someone do this I know he is just a brother spirit, I'm made of the same stuff and I know that while my great acts may not be the same as his, they may be equally amazing, powerful, courageous .. awesome! Seeing him do the impossible encourages me to find my "Big Wave/s" and go for it.

Stoked!!!
